Baby wearing when W was 8 weeks old.

A little retrospective following on from Mother's Day last week.

I was blessed to become a mummy back in September 2009 to little A and back in September 2014 again to baby W. Two lovely, healthy happy chappies.

With 5 years and 1 week between them it's been so lovely to see the relationship between them grow, especially now that W is 6 months old. I can't wait to see them play together in the garden, giggle in the back of the car and whisper secrets to one another.

The past 6 months have definitely not been easy to say the least, but they have been wonderful too. Not having any proper maternity leave and working alone is a real challenge, but I wouldn't have it any other way either. G is an amazing support and when he is home takes over any house duties and looking after the boys. I couldn't do it without that team work.

Breastfeeding and blogging multitasking.

Weaning has started and W is really not very interested. It's funny how different he is from his big brother already, babies really do develop their own personalities and tastes so fast.

There have been good and bad times. Obviously. I started this blog when A was 6 months old and when I look back so much has happened in that time. From my nervous break down and the cancellation of our wedding, to over coming anxiety and having an early miscarriage. But there have been real highs too, learning to enjoy the simple things, seeing WWW become a success and making memories as now, a family of 4. I never would have thought back then my life would turn out as it has now, it's funny how things work out and how life has a way of getting you back on track. I wouldn't change a single thing. My boys are without a doubt though my greatest and proudest achievement.

I hope they grow up with fond memories of mummy and daddy. I know time will fly and I try to treasure every moment I can. I really need to get taking more photographs while they are little. I've been dashing around like there is no tomorrow and I need to find space to pause sometimes too. As Spring approaches I am looking forward to spending some time in the garden. W sitting up with his chubby little legs in the paddling pool and A playing on his tractor while I tend to the veggie patch. I have a feeling it's going to be a great summer.

Are you a mummy or daddy? How do you find work/life balance with your family? What things are you looking forward to this summer with your little ones? Do you have any ideas for fun things to do with a baby and a 5 year old?
