I love this twist on an engagement shoot - a tuxedo and black bow tie, a floor length black sequin evening gown. These formal black tie engagement photos are such a contrast to usual photos which are quite casual and really, why not take the chance to get dressed up if that's what you love to do? The couple chose gm photographics to capture their photos.

Brooke and Paul tell the tale of how they met. "We attended the same primary school and high school however we were not in the same year. We both knew of each other however conversations lining up for lunch in the school canteen were as far as our contact went! Although living in the same suburb we had not interacted for close to 10 years until we bumped into each other in Las Vegas in December 2009. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!"

The proposal was utterly romantic, the couple telling, "Paul surprised Brooke and proposed after a beautiful breakfast on a romantic getaway to The Hunter Valley on the 9th August 2013. We stayed at the gorgeous, secluded 'Cedars' at Mount View, in the luxurious, modern villa 'The Edge' and spent the whole day at the Hunter Valley Gardens after the proposal."

"We were both pretty set on not having a "typical" couple photo shoot and wanted to go for something classy, modern and quite formal - hence the suit, bowtie and Grammy-style gown."

On what she loves about her (now) husband, Brooke remarks, "I love that Paul is the type of man that puts others before himself, a quality that is very rare in a man. He always finishes things he starts, he has such great work ethic and I love that he wears sexy glasses for his office job."

They tell, "Brooke is a dance instructor and runs her own studio, Paul was adamant that he did not want her to choreograph their wedding dance. So Brooke happily took Paul's advice and they just went with what they felt on the night. Best wedding dance ever - we had so much fun as there was no pressure to remember the steps."

On what he loves about Brooke, Paul tells, "I love Brooke's passion and enthusiasm in every aspect of her life, especially her dancing. She is so committed to giving her all in every project she takes on and even choreographs dances whilst driving, so talented!"
