Wedding - The Simplicity Of Jessica

The Simplicity Of Jessica

First of all, thank you to everyone who was nice enough to open up about their experiences with Lightroom yesterday. I’m going to give it another shot, and after watching some videos, I think I understand the concept a bit more. But man, do I ever need a new computer to run this thing efficiently. That thing is a CPU hog! Secondly, a couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of driving to scenic Santa Ana (yes, that’s sarcasm) and meeting up with a couple of the Flickr elite. I picked up Doug and went to Hector’s studio. We had a good time shooting a friend, and then shooting each other. Now, he’s got this project going on where he has been photographing various photographers on Flickr in b&w. Now there are no rules for taking your portrait, so obviously I couldn’t do it like a normal human being. Like usual, Disco J was in my trunk and made an appearance there. Needless to say, Disco J was in a very feisty mood for his first professional photo shoot. And then Hector did the impossible; got me to pose wigless after that. So what you see are both sides of my dual personalities. Hector is a giving guy, supportive and has a lot of very big projects coming up. If you’re even down in Orange County and need to work with a pro, I’d recommend Hector. He co-owns the studio with another amazing photog Stephen Moore. So make sure you check out that tragedy of a portrait of me. This portrait, on the other hand, just came out so perfect for me. Jessica was so easy to work with, and her simple, pleasant personality came out really well here. Sometimes people are easy to work with, and the shots really show that. This was a simple, yet new pose for me, which I’ll probably end up incorporating into my list of shots for weddings. Okay, back to Lightroom videos.
