Emilie and Vincent met when working in Hong Kong. They wanted their wedding to be fun, quirky and a mix of all the things they like. They didn't choose a specific theme but focused on gold pineapples, skulls, star wars and street art and wanted their wedding to blend fun with tradition. The bride found her incredible dip-dyed dress in China when she was there on her hen do!

They were married in Emilie's family home, which was built by her grandparents. "They are no longer with us and I thought it was a good way to honour them", said the bride. "When I proposed this idea to my mother she was so enthusiastic. This house means so much to my family and is filled with so many good memories. It's also in the South of France so was perfect for an outdoor wedding!"

"As we were married in the family home the festivities began on Friday night with a big dinner with most of the guests and we ended on Sunday afternoon with a big brunch. We fully appreciated that the celebrations and time with our family and friends were not only limited to the wedding day. We don't actually have a favourite part as all the moments were magical."

"Our wedding ceremony was very traditional as we were married in the City Hall. The Mayor spoke and his words were very inspirational. After the ceremony, during cocktails, my bridesmaids organised a big flash mob with everybody (friends, family, young and old all joined in!) to the music Shut Up and Dance by the band Walk The Moon, it was fantastic! Vincent and I had also planned a choreographed dance to the song Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. Vincent was not really thrilled about this but to make me happy he had agreed. In the end it all worked out and we gave a great performance."

"Our biggest expense was hiring a couple of street artists from Montpellier to make a piece live during the cocktail hour. It was perfect and is now in our living room reminding us every single day what an amazing wedding we had!"

"We saved money on the flowers arrangements as one of my bridesmaids is floral designer with her own shop so she offered us all the flowers. We also saved money on the wine and champagne as one of our good friends works for a French vineyard, so he helped us to find a good deal. The best way to save money on your wedding is through good networking!"

"Our advice to future brides and grooms is to find an amazing wedding planner like ours to handle everything for you so you can enjoy your wedding day; it happens only once in a lifetime."
