It's so exciting coming across new wedding venues, and this gem on the Northern California coast is one you'll definitely want to remember! Originally designed in 1963, Timber Cove has just undergone a year long, multi-million dollar renovation. So when Snippet & Ink Select vendor Alison Events chose to host their end-of-year retreat at this stunning property, we knew we had to feature it!

When it came to planning the retreat, Managing Partner of Alison Events Jesse Tombs drew inspiration from all around him. One of our favorite elements is this stationery suite he came up with in collaboration with Yonder Design. This was drawn from Jesse's love for Japanese raw denim combined with the fresh coastal feel and woodsy nature of Timber Cove.

Jesse wanted the retreat to look and feel light and airy, while still having a grounded, slightly masculine tone. Relaxed but still celebratory - just perfect for an event on the coast! Plus, how amazing is that key card from Timber Cove?!

Photographer Christina McNeil l was on hand to shoot it all - can you just imagine having your wedding ceremony right here on the cliffs, overlooking the ocean? It's so peaceful and atmospheric at the same time.

Shotgun Floral Studio created beautiful coastal inspired floral designs to bring Timber Cove's event spaces to life.

Lanterns, wildflowers and vessels filled with blue glass baubles - such a fresh, modern take on a rustic seaside theme. This plays off exactly what the team behind Timber Cove's extensive renovations were aiming for: a luxe lodge feel that embraces the property's 1960s soul, in a way that's stylish, relaxed and comfortable. Renowned husband and wife design duo The Novogratz said "o ur goal in reimagining the hotel is to embrace the history of the area and give the hotel a modern twist. After guests check in, we don't think they'll want to leave." Now isn't that just how you'd love your wedding guests to feel?

One of the loveliest elements of Timber Cove is the way the property - inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, no less - brings the outside in. Choosing what to do here is going to be tough when views call to you from just about every room! Deciding which trail to hike on the 23 acre property? Enjoying some seriously local (and seasonal) seafood from the property's very own Coast Kitchen? Or heading out onto the deck with a crisp California white in hand, keeping an eye out for dolphins and dreaming of the perfect cocktail reception, right there? All definite possibilities!
