As well as introducing you to their new Autumn/Winter collection I thought it would be fun to chat to designer Samantha Lines to get to know more about her and the inspiration behind the brand.

Tell us about the Ruby Shoo customer. Who are your shoes designed for?
I design Ruby Shoo for the woman who wants to stand out from the crowd. She is confident, fun and enjoys making a statement. I would also like to think she has an individual sense of style which doesn't follow seasonal trends. Over the past few years I have really enjoyed watching our fan base grow, and the unique ways women are wearing Ruby Shoo - both as evening and day wear.

Why do you think your products are perfect for Rock n Roll brides and grooms?
We recently discovered Rock n Roll Bride and it was such a breath of fresh air, we immediately smiled. The imagery, the faces, the interviews, everything seemed like such a perfect match for Ruby Shoo. The editorial and readers perfectly reflect the individuality of making your special day exactly how you want.

Who/what are your biggest influences?
Travel is my first big influence. My family were adventurers and from an early age we travelled together across Europe and Asia. I spent a lot of my time in far flung countries where I would explore the bazaars, souks and fabric markets, collecting trinkets simply because I found them interesting.
I also love the dry sense of humour and sassiness of Iris Apfel. Her personal style is so inspiring.

What do you love the most about what you do?
The creative process is my biggest enjoyment. Every new collection is a journey, starting with a blank canvas. It is the research, finding inspiration and developing these into Ruby Shoo that I simply love. It's like putting together a big jigsaw of inspiration and slotting all the pieces together.

What's your price range?
We have always wanted Ruby Shoo to be accessible to a wide audience without compromising on quality. Shoes start at £45 retail, which we feel is perfect, even for wedding parties and those who want a new pair every season.

How can my readers find you and get in touch?
Facebook is the best place, as we have built up quite a strong community where we often discuss ideas such as new heel heights and the fitting of the shoes. We learn so much from our fans.
