Pastel Kawaii Wonderland-Inspired Wedding - Part Two

Pastel Kawaii Wonderland-Inspired Wedding - Part Two

via

Earlier this morning, we shared Part One of the #CutestWeddingEver, and now we're back with Part Two of Chrissa + Jon's spectacular day (there was just too much cute stuff to share!!) From cocktails with gummy bears, bedazzled Barbie inspired gowns, an arcade game designed by the groom, to Care Bear 'bouquets' - the fun truly never ends! Photographer Jenn Emerling captured all the magic + wonder of the day... And we SERIOUSLY love this wedding because it stayed true to the personality of the couple.

Let's dig in!

Take time for each other throughout the entire process - from planning, to parties, all the way to the big day. Learn to let go of the smaller things, and remember that at the end of the day, it's about the two of you. Think of your wedding as a fun party that celebrates your love for each other. Tradition, smaditions! There is no right or wrong way to do certain things - do what feels right for the both of you, representing your relationship as genuinely as possible. Whether you want a dinosaur to officiate your wedding, or having your cat walk you down the aisle - you do you!

Inspired by the Foam'n Color Barbie - how fun are these bridesmaid outfits?! Chrissa co-designed the dresses with the help of The Loveless Designs.

All the guests were invited to come in their most pastel-colored outfit and partake in temporary tattoos!

The incredible Barbie Box photobooth was made by the married couple in C+J's bridal party, Maria and Aaron. They surprised Chrissa with the Barbie Box for her bridal shower, and she plans on using it to display her wedding dress and memoirs from their special day... It will look like a Wedding Barbie Accessories Pack!

C+J share We wanted our guests to feel as comfortable as possible, with the fattiest, most delicious foods ever! Our friends over at Mix n' Munch created the perfect appetizers: grilled cheese sandwiches for meat lovers (Jon + his buddies), plus vegetarian and vegan options (Chrissa + her gals).

The little kitten drawing on the right is in honor of their beloved cat, Dottie Sparkles.

The groom and his groomsmen custom-built an arcade machine that guests could play on at the event, called Super Kawaii Love Time Fighter. The groom spent eight months designing character art and programming a custom game where guests could play as Jon, Chrissa and their cat Dottie on the wedding day.

Room Forty provided a super fun bar + other delicious bites throughout the evening.

The couple shares Much like how kids pull toys randomly out of a toy box, our centerpieces mashed together our favorite characters in cute scenes - from Rick Grimes riding on the back of Rex, to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man enjoying ice cream with Alf & Pee Wee Herman. We purchased numerous toys throughout our engagement at San Diego Comic Con, scoured eBay for Sky Dancers, and thrifted old Barbies in bulk.

Chrissa shares We scheduled DIY parties with friends, family, and the bridal party to put together center pieces, assembling invitations, decor, etc. Scheduling these get togethers with our bridal party ahead of time helped keep us on track. We are blessed to have such artistic and creative people in our lives, so it was like one giant art project!

Super cool lighting by Ambiance Lighting Pros lit up the dance floor.

This beautiful confetti cake was made by Magnolia Bakery + topped with the most adorable cookies by Kaorin of Acorn Milk Sweets - all the way from Japan!

Jon's favorite - an appearance by Left Shark from the Superbowl XLIX Halftime show!!!

Chrissa loves a good Playboy Bunny bodysuit, so she had Jennifer Newman create a reception dress inspired by just that!

They had a serious spread of desserts with donuts from California Donuts, churros from Ridges Churro Bar, ice cream from Cookies & Cream, and even vegan cupcakes from My Sweet Cupcake.

A huge congrats to the both of you! It truly was the #CutestWeddingEver!!
