Pastel Kawaii Wonderland-Inspired Wedding: Chrissa + Jon - Part 1

Pastel Kawaii Wonderland-Inspired Wedding: Chrissa + Jon - Part 1

via

Have we got a treat for you... Inspired by all things candy-coated and sweet, the wedding of Chrissa + Jon is, without question, one of the most UNIQUE and sparkling events that we've ever shared. In fact, there was so much sweetness to go around, that we're sharing this spectacular event in two parts!

Planner Holly Gray helped bring out the childhood nostalgia, pastel colors, and somewhat 'nerdy' elements to this couple's special day, held at The Fig House in Los Angeles. The bride, Chrissa, had a distinct vision in mind, designing all the elements of the wedding - and photographer, Jenn Emerling, captured them perfectly! The bride's dress and bridesmaid dresses were custom bedazzled beauties, while the groom + groomsmen wore 'bit heart' bowties (think old school video game graphics) + "Game Over" sneakers; and in lieu of traditional bouquets, the ladies walked down the aisle with Care Bears - yes, you read that right!! Every guest came dressed as their cutest, most pastel-self and when they weren't busy taking selfies in the life-size Mattel Barbie packaging, they were playing on the custom arcade cabinet the groom made.

Chrissa, shares We're a very unique pair - we love all things cute, colorful, and playful. We wanted a huge party that exploded into the #CutestWeddingEver. It was centered around the idea that we may grow old, but we'll never grow up. We wanted elements of our childhood throughout the entire event; everything was a throwback - our centerpieces used carefully curated vintage toys that we'd previously owned, we played 80s and 90s throwback jams, and there was an abundance of gel pens and temporary tattoos.

The adorable save the date illustrations + invitations were crafted by Amy Rose Studios.

The wedding dress was co-designed by Chrissa + Diana Li, and was inspired by a multitude of 90s Barbie gowns, incorporating iridescent fabrics and glitter tulle to create a magical, feminine and one of a kind gown. The Mother of the Bride is QUEEN of rhinestones, and she placed thousands of glittering gems all over the gown + train.

So, so FUN! We love that they took the time to have a special photoshoot before the ceremony.

ADORABLE!!

Cheeky, and oh so clever.

The 'bit-heart' bowtie is so cute!

The bridesmaid's wigs are by Tanya Ramirez, styled by Miss Rockabilly Ruby by Powder Room D. All bridal party makeup was done by Erin Nakashima, and family makeup was done by Jill Fogel.

The bridesmaid dresses were heavily inspired by the 1995 Foam'n Color Barbie dolls, and co-designed by Chrissa + The Loveless Designs. Chrissa shares I wanted my girls to be able to utilize the dress after the wedding, whether it was for fun parties or as a costume. Thank goodness I have super stylish friends!

How CUTE are they?!
