Stunning Wedding Cakes for Every Theme

Doesn't right now sound like the best time to drool over some delicious wedding cakes? Yep, we thought so. We've found several cakes sure to both inspire you and tempt your sweet tooth.

Wrapped in Ladyfingers

This darkly glam wedding cake at a forest-themed inspiration session is surrounded by ladyfingers and secured with thick raffia ribbon. The effect is both rustic and sophisticated.

Simple Buttercream

These simple buttercream cakes will continue to dominate dessert tables in 2016. And why not? They go with a myriad of themes and taste as good as they look!

Say It With Cake

We adore the current trend of writing a message or quote on your wedding cake, but you can also keep it minimal as with this example above. A simple "love" written in copper and bordered by a wreath makes a romantic statement.

Icy Glamour

Silver and white come together to make a cake with icy elegance. This cake above would fit right in at a formal, traditional wedding, especially one in the winter.

Warm Gold

The latest in modern metallic statements is strokes of gold painted across the cake. The petite wedding cake above features gold on the tops of each of the layers. This unstructured, improv style is perfect for today's modern weddings.

Incorporating a Great Detail

One of our favorite details to DIY is paper backdrops. Creating paper fans is really easy, and they look very impressive when displayed on a venue's walls. Turns out, paper fans are also pretty cute on a cake (above).

All-Natural Boho

It's become very popular to go with a "boho chic" or "woodland glam" wedding cake. But we love the more stripped-down version, representing the heart of bohemian weddings. The cake above features tiny sprigs of greenery and swirls of ivory buttercream.

Artistic Southwest

As much as we love a traditional Southwest wedding cake topped with succulents, we admit that we love this creative and talented interpretation (above) even more!

Colorful Angles

Geometric details were the detail of 2015, and we'll continue to see them this year. Above, this bright cake combines geometry with gold "foiling" for a really splendid, luxury design.

Fresh & Local

Especially during the produce bounty of summer, we love fruit-topped wedding cakes. This small, naked version would be darling at a small wedding or on a dessert table surrounded by a multitude of different flavored layer cakes.
