We asked Wendy of Wendy Maley Photography five questions in five minutes -

Favourite after five drink?
Hmm, I am partial to a beer, but I must say Jameson's and cloudy apple is delish!

My favourite weekend getaway?
Weekend getaway, what's that? Seriously though, anything with mountains. Throw in a winery or two and I'll be there in a heartbeat!

Favourite restaurant?
The Little Truffle on the Gold Coast. Amazing. End.of.

Sunday morning breakfast?
I'm often cooking pancakes for my munchkins. OK for me too

My Favourite Wedding Story...
My favourite wedding was a career defining moment. When I was still studying I won a competition to learn with a prominent wedding and portrait photographer in Sydney. As I'm based on the Gold Coast this was pretty awesome. So, when I went down for the class I plucked up the courage and asked him if I might be able to complete my wedding assessment and shoot with him. He said 'of course' which was a big deal to me, but not as big as when I flew down and turned up to this wedding which just happened to be at St Mary's Cathedral (yep, the massive one in the heart of Sydney)! My jaw just dropped. Shooting that wedding was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of being a part of that couple's special day. I'll never forget the kindness shown to me by a veteran of the industry and the sheer wonder of walking with him into a place like that. From that moment on, I knew weddings were for me and I've never looked back...
