Polly and Andy (aka Team Pandy) married on the 27 ^th February 2014, followed by a party on the 1 ^st March 2014 at The Brunswick, Brighton. They wanted to create a beer festival style wedding, with great beer and flowers in beer bottles.

Their whole day was home-made, with Polly's gorgeous dress being made by her mum, Andy's bow tie and pocket square crafted by Polly, alongside the sweet button bouquet and her hair piece. They had fun yet simple décor and a lot of fun.

THE VISION | Beer festival wedding.

THE VENUE | We had the ceremony at the Brighton registry office and the party at the Brunswick pub in Hove. The Brunswick was the perfect venue for a beer festival wedding. They bought in all the beers that we wanted and put the kegs up on the bar. The food was brilliant and all the staff did everything they could to help make the day perfect for us. We would highly recommend them.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | My shoes were the first thing we did for the wedding. We got them from Anthropologie in London, I loved the colour so much they were perfect. We then based the colours of the wedding around the shoes.

I am very lucky to have an amazing mum who made my dress. She had never made a wedding dress before but is now a pro!

I made the button bouquet using old buttons from people who meant a lot to us. I also made my hair accessories. My bracelets were my something borrowed from my sister in law who wore them on her wedding day.

FINDING THE DRESS | My mum and I went up to London to buy the pattern and the fabrics. The lace was from John Lewis haberdashery and the silk from Berrick Street. We also went and tried a few on to get an idea of what suited me.

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Andy wore a dark grey, Ted Baker 3 piece suit. I made his bow tie and hankie. He groomed his moustache for months so that he could wax the ends.

THE FLOWERS | We did all the flowers ourselves with help form friends. We had daffodils in beer glasses around pub, they added so much colour and made it feel very spring like. Tip for daffodils - we bought ours 4 days before the wedding so that they were open on the big day. We left them in a sunny room until they opened then moved them into a colder darker room to stop them opening too much.

On the tables we had smaller flowers in a mixture of beer bottles that Andy and friends collected together. A very difficult job but they all rose to the challenge. Our friends Hatty and Josh helped arrange all the flowers on the day of the party.

THE CAKE | Our amazing friend Tina made our cake. We had a voting system on our website to help decide which flavours to have. We ended up with carrot and banana on the bottom, chocolate in the middle and fruit cake (made by Andy) on the top.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | We had Sue Kwiatkowska as our photographer. She Photographed my brothers wedding 6 months and had done a brilliant job. She was so flexible with fitting in with what we wanted and we are so pleased with what she produced. She also puts all the photos on a DVD for you to use and print as you like.

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We pulled in lots of favours for decorations and borrowed bunting from other friends wedding. We didn't mind if it didn't match. We also made lots of tissue paper pom poms which are a great, inexpensive way to add colour to a room. We also had letter bunting made using brown card and pegs that we had up around the venue. The pegs proved very popular with our guests and ended up pegs along the bottom of my dress and on Andy's bow tie.

THE STATIONERY | Our save the date was in the style of a horror movie trailer made by Andy and posted on our website.

We then made our own invitations to match in with the styling of the website and containing a custom designed beer mat.

THE HONEYMOON | We spent 2 lovely weeks in beautiful Italy. We started with a busy week of sightseeing in Venice, Florence and Rome. Followed by a relaxing week on the Amalfi Coast by the pool in our own private villa.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Spread it out as much as possible. It goes so quickly. We had the ceremony with only our parents on the Thursday, then spent the Friday doing final prep for the party as well as a big family meal in the evening. The Saturday was party day and Sunday was clearing up and sharing funny stories. We then waited 2 months until our honeymoon, Was really nice to have something to look forward to instead of it all being over in one day.

Don't let it stress you out. It's meant to be an enjoyable day. Don't forget, if it's not going to add to anyone's enjoyment of the day it really doesn't matter.
