Colorful Wedding Shoes: 5 Trends to Inspire You

Colorful wedding shoes are a dynamic way to add a little extra zip and whimsy to your bridal party's looks. Whether you plan on wearing this pop of color yourself, or just plan on leaving these to your favorite ladies, here are 5 colorful shoe trends to consider.

Bows

This traditional wedding style is made modern with bright shades. Ladylike bows look equally at home on a pair of kitten heels (above) or a taller option. Some of my favorite bow styles, are actually brooch details (far below), but they follow the same basic idea-details on the toe that add more dimension and texture.

Super Shiny

With an almost mirrored finish, colored patent leather heels are all the rage right now. In smooth and snakeskin-inspired materials these shoes make a unique, color-saturated statement.

Because these shoes are so dramatic, they would look best with bridesmaids in LBDs or, for you, a simple mermaid or trumpet silhouette gown.

Festive Prints

These sky blue heels (below) with Oxford details would also look create with a retro tea-length!

These bold shoes range from romantic florals to kitchy Hawaiian patterns. Because the patterns are so complicated, you should probably avoid mixing and matching in your bridal party with these. Pair these shoes with solid dresses with simple lines.

Strappy Chic

These platform pumps (below) would go beautifully with your wedding dress, no matter what the silhouette. Although, they are so pretty, you may not want to hide them under a floor length ballgown!

Simply Bright

Show off those summery pedicures with these sophisticated, strappy heels. Ankle ties (below, left) and beaded detailing (below, right) make these royal blue shoes feel just a little less basic, and a lot more special! Rich, royal blue coordinates well with so many colors. If it works well with your palette, pair these with bridesmaid dresses in sunny yellow, cherry red, or pale gray.

These straps (below) give your ankle just a little more support as your heel height increases.

Especially if you want to alternate colors or mix and match your bridesmaids' shoes, keep things simple with these fetching styles! This two-toned kitten heel (below) comes in a variety of color combos.

Another reason to go simple? You can vary the heel height. If you have a bridal party that ranges from 5'1″ to 5'11″, being able to have your more petite friends wear these sky-high stilettos (above) while your taller ladies can use a kitten heel, will ensure that your bridal party stays in line. You can see an example of this with these two spring yellow options below. They don't even come from the same manufacturer, but they seamlessly blend together.
