Morning brides-to-be, I do hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Have your registered for the b.party yet?

At the end of this week I’m heading back to South Africa for a couple of weeks, so it’s been a busy few days of packing, prepping content, oh, and styling the wedding of a rather stylish couple with our fabulous b.teamer Anna!  Next week I’ll be travelling through the Cape Winelands and along the Garden Route in the name of honeymoon research, and I can’t wait to share the fabulous line-up of venues I’ve got to share with you!  For sneak peeks follow #blovedtravel on twitter and instagram, and be sure to keep an eye on the blog in early November when I’ll be sharing my reviews!

But back to this week, and I’m embracing the falling leaves and September chill with a distinctly autumnal theme.  In b.loved style, I’m keeping the look clean and fresh with a contemporary twist.  It’s so easy for this rich palette to become heavy and a little dated, so keep it fresh with a light touch on the deeper colours and a pop of soft peach and copper to lift the whole look.  Keep styling crisp and minimal, with small rustic details and lots of natural textures, like hessian, burlap and wood.  For florals, I love the use of fynbos (an African plant similar to heather) and proteas in this scheme preventing it becoming too fussy.  For brides, carry a simple bouquet and ask your florist to add a few feathers for structure and interest, and cinch in your dress with a big buckled belt for a touch of rustic boho style.  I love the use of copper cow bells as a quirky paperweight on this escort card table, and the simple wooden benches providing a perfect setting for an outdoor farm wedding.  Typewriter-style fonts and clean typography complete the look.
